The Production Planner will be responsible for organizing and planning the production and shipping schedules, high-level rough cut capacity planning and necessary production smoothing to meet demand or supply constraints. Accuracy and proficiency in the planning process are critical to achieve manufacturing goals and reducing set up times.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Creates rolling 1 month production schedule for mass production on a weekly and monthly basis to support inventory goals and delivery objectives
Balances Die Cast equipment scheduling
Balances master schedule to level headcount, working within minimum/maximum inventory levels per the plant PFEP
Collaborates with engineering and product teams for effective ramp-up and launch of new product
Coordinates and schedules pre-production for assigned cells in accordance with engineering work requests
Develops, coordinators and monitors the PFEP (plan for every part) ensuring WIP (work in progress) range of coverage and inventory accuracy
Develops and coordinates the material flow for plant material handlers
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain management or related
3+ years of master scheduling experience 5+ years of MRP ERP experience
Production planning for TIER 1 automotive manufacturing, preferred
Working knowledge of ERP systems, Plex preferred
