Advance Employment is currently hiring a Maintenance Tech for one of our clients in Plymouth, MI. This position is full time on 1st shift.
The Maintenance Tech preferences include basic computer skills and SAP knowledge. Should preferably specialize in some area of repair (i.E. Electrical, PLC programming, Fabrication, etc.) Manufacturing environment includes long periods of standing and bending. Must be able to lift fifty pounds repetitively.
Requires an Associate s or Vocational degree in a technical discipline or a minimum of two years experience in industrial equipment repair.
Experience in the following areas preferred:
1. Mechanical: Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Pumps, Bearings, Chains and Belting, Conveying Systems, Valves, Basic Blueprint Reading and Mechanical Troubleshooting
2. Electrical: Advanced Knowledge and Experience Using Variable Frequency Drives, Advanced and Basic Electricity, Voltmeter and Amp Probe, AC/DC Motors and Control Systems, Basic Schematic Reading, Basic PLC Knowledge, Hardware/Conduit Bending and installation, and Electrical Troubleshooting
3. Machine Shop Skills: Various Welding techniques, Fabrication, Basic plumbing, heating and cooling, and Basic carpentry and masonry

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour

I am the Service Manager for Advance Employment. Starting with Advance in 2001 as a temp to hire associate for a client, to becoming the Client, to becoming the Service Manager of a local business office has been tremendously rewarding! I have experienced every aspect of our industry. I've come full circle and wouldn't change one bit of my journey. Currently taking on the Director of Business Development, sales, role in 2 of our major markets (AA and JK) my growth opportunities continue to flourish, and I am blessed to be part of it all.
