Our World Class Manufacturing Client, located in Battle Creek, Mi. Has an immediate need for a Continuous Improvement Lead. We offer an outstanding salary and benefits package.

Assist in defining and supporting standardized programs to educate employees in the principles of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing (5S, Kaizen, etc.)
Builds Value stream metrics creating a CI Dashboard.
Lead the implementation, coordination, and evaluation of continuous improvement actions across the extended value streams to eliminate waste and achieve targets.
Responsible for coaching the site Production leads team in achieving the work center KPIs aligned with the work center performance and CI goals.
Leads Fast Response to the Floor, creates Focus groups and lead the generations of improvement projects in the different value streams. Lead the culture change in the floor to attack systematically floor issues through improvement projects, standardization, quick trouble shooting.
Support the development and utilization of current and future state value stream maps to identify strategic projects and corresponding rolling 12-month implementation plans that are aligned with the company s strategic direction.
Responsible for developing and deploying the Site(s) daily accountability process and employing problem solving methodologies to determine root cause and develop countermeasures for misses to daily targets, identifying and ensuring resolution of system issues and ensuring the successful accomplishment of extended value stream customer expectations.
Ensure consistent application of CI methodology and standard work in alignment with CI peers from other locations.
Leadership by example, supporting activities as needed or assigned by manager.
You are an inspirational hands-on leader with proven results in Continuous improvement, you love to work through others, you have a good grasp of manufacturing processes, you have successfully work with complexity, you use problem solving methodology, and you share your knowledge with the rest of the team. You have a proven track of successful cost reduction through six sigma projects.
  • BS Engineering degree.
  • At least 5 years of experience in leading continuous improvement activities at a site level.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt required.
  • Experience leading plant lean transformation
  • Demonstrated change agent
  • Ability to lead associates through coaching and mentoring.
  • Highly energized and self-motivated with experience collaborating with teams to implement change
  • Strong planning/organization & time management skills
  • Track record of successful project management
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, utilize process, and value stream mapping, and draw valid conclusions. Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to lead effectively and efficiently cross functionally. No reports, so he or she should be able to lead collaboratively.
  • Solid knowledge of the manufacturing processes
  • Credibility and experience to work effectively and directly with the on-site Management team and beyond.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically (i.E. Deliver results)
  • Analytically minded and data driven. The candidate must also have a holistic overview of complex situations and deal effectively with difficult issues when they arise.
