CMM Programmer/ Operator

Job Description

Advance Employment is hiring for a CMM Programmer/ Operator in Grass Lake, MI, just east of Jackson. This is a 2nd shift position and pays $24-$26 an hour with a 5% shift premium. Qualified candidates must have the necessary CMM/Leica Programming skills to support the Company in achieving optimal levels of safety, quality, productivity and delivery to internal and external customers.
Essential Functions : 
  1. Conduct part layouts meet or exceed dimensional requirements of the customer.
  2. Evaluate CMM data for accuracy, prior to submission.
  3. Prepare reports for internal and external customers and interface as appropriate.
  4. Prepare FAI s
  5. Write CMM programs.
  6. Maintain CMM & CMM software in good working order.
  7. Provide CMM data for sample part submission.
  8. Trains others on proper blueprint reading techniques, appropriate use of gauges, and then use of a CMM.
  9. Interface with customers, contractors and suppliers as appropriate.
  10. Participate in root cause analysis and team problem solving activities. 
  11. Assist with plant activities to achieve quality, productivity and cost reduction goals.
  12. Participate in departmental continuous improvement efforts. 
  13. Support the company s mission, vision and values in performance of daily activities.
Required Education and Experience:
Preferred experience as a CMM programmer/operator in PCDMIS and/or Spatial Analyzer.
General knowledge of Quality Systems (i.E., ISO 9001, AS-9100 etc.).
Technical math skills including trigonometry. 
CAD proficiency including working with models.
Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
Good understanding of GD&T.
Ability to read blueprints.
Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast paced and varying environment.
Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
Ability to read and write in English.
